AFTER CARE

Be prepared for the colour to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the treatment.  This will subside and become lighter as the tissue heals. This process can take up to 14 days.

Proper care following your enhancement is crucial to achieving optimal results. Please carefully review the following instructions and refer to them as needed. Should you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Common symptoms during the initial healing period may include:

• Minor swelling and redness, accompanied by mild tenderness.
• Itchiness in and around the treatment area.
• Dry flaking skin due to scabbing.

Daily Care for the First Week:

1. Apply the provided healing balm a maximum of 3 times a day. Ensure hands are washed before application, and to prevent cross-contamination, use a clean cotton bud for each eyebrow.
2. Use a gentle facial cleanser to freshen your skin, but avoid direct application on the brows during the first week. Refrain from splashing water on your face.
3. Apply a thick layer of Vaseline when washing your hair to prevent it from becoming wet. Remove the Vaseline with a clean, dry tissue by gently blotting.
4. If your enhancement gets wet, pat the area dry using a clean tissue and blow-dry if possible.
5. Keep hair away from the enhancement, especially the fringe, for at least the first 2 days to minimize the risk of infection.
6. Itching is normal. Do not pick, peel, or rub your enhancement, as this may lead to uneven healing and potential infection. Allow the color to flake naturally.
7. Avoid any skincare beauty treatments for at least 5 days after the enhancement application.
8. Refrain from applying makeup close to your enhancement during this time.

Avoid for 2 Weeks:

1. Avoid direct exposure of your enhancement to sunlight, tanning treatments, jacuzzis, saunas, saltwater, chlorinated pools, and direct shower spray. Consider using a hat, sunglasses, or sunblock when outdoors.
2. Refrain from tinting, waxing, peels, electrolysis, or laser hair removal treatments in proximity to the enhancement region.

Please note your selected colour will be more striking and sharply defined for 10 to 14 days after treatment but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten up to 60%.

The approximate initial healing period is 14 days, however healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised, or if you are generally stressed and by poor diet.

Bear in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of colour is to be expected. This is the purpose of the re-touch visit allowing us to fine tune your enhancement. This is included in the initial cost, however if you do not attend your scheduled re-touch appointment you will be charged for any further treatment.

Long term care

Use a good sunscreen as sun exposure will fade your enhancements.

If you are scheduled to have a chemical peel, laser procedure or an MRI scan, please inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics. Please inform the National Blood Service if you donate blood, as you may not be eligible to give blood for a year post application.

All of the above plus:

- No makeup on eyes for at least 72 hours.

- A new mascara must be used after the 72 hours period to avoid infection.

- No need to apply aftercare balm on eyes as eyes are naturally moist.

All of the above plus:

- Drink through a straw for the first few days.

- Apply balm as necessary to keep  lips moist.

- Eat clean dry foods or with cutlery to avoid getting the lips dirty and avoid spicy and salty foods.

- No kissing until scabs have completely come off.

Do not rub or scratch the skin with your fingers, pencil or makeup brushes. Avoid wearing clothes that might scratch the treated area.

- No sauna, swimming or playing sports (avoid sweat) is allowed on the first day.

- Smoking is allowed after 30 minutes following your tattoo removal session (applying to Lips tattoo removal).

- Do not apply any foundation, powder makeup, hydrating creams, sunscreen, pencil, chemical products etc. on the treated area for at least 1 week post treatment

- The Aftercare gel will be given to you. APPLY it over the treated area 2 to 3 times per day, during the 1st week and until the 3rd week post treatment.

- If any unexpected problems arise during the healing process of your skin even after you have followed all the aftercare instructions, please contact your doctor.

HYGIENE: the treated area needs to be clean at all times. Clean the treated area with water and natural soap (baby soap) when necessary.

If you deliberately  violate any of our terms and conditions, including our aftercare suggestions, we will be excluded from liabilty and we have the right to cancel any complimentary/paid treatment in the future.
